About

Meet Frances

I'm so glad you've stopped by! Any website I visit, I always hop over to the "about" page. So this one is for you.

I've been in the photography game for a long time. I got my first digital camera in high school (with all of my saved babysitting money), when they were 2.1 megapixels. Years into my university career, I chose to specialize in photography and was luckily able to learn darkroom techniques and some really valuable old-school photography skills. It has been quite amazing to see how much photography has changed just in my lifetime, and I am always keen to learn more. Stepping into the professional photography realm has truly changed my world and I love that it's a life-long skill that will never stop changing.

I still can't believe that I have made a career while carrying around my camera. And I am continually amazed at the opportunities that come my way.

Mission

My mission for you

I will always strive to get the best results for you. As a photographer, I am always working with light and sometimes it's magical and sometimes its a battle - but know that I will do the hard work to get images that are the best they can be.

My goal is to be easy to work with, adaptable and efficient. My hope is that after every encounter you'll walk away with something like "well, that was easy!" on your mind and know exactly who to call next time you have a photographic need come your way.

When I'm not out taking photos of beautiful places or faces, I'm usually at home with my family and our cat. We all enjoy time in the yard, gardening or getting out for a quick hike or having a relaxing drink on the deck. We all enjoy good food and eat most of our meals together whenever possible. Friday pizza&movie night is our sacred way to end the week and start the weekend.

I've always got a good book on the go and really love hearing what others are reading, too. The way to my heart is with a cute cat-meme, a glass of white wine and good chat about books.
